THE PURPOSE OF THIS BOARD:
This board was established for discussing long range bullseye target shooting from the prone position. While the US NRA definition of "long range" is anything beyond 600 yards, most prone shooting at distances of 300 yards and beyond incorporates similar concepts and mechanics. This includes nearly all such activity worldwide, including (but not limited to) US NRA Long Range/Fullbore, International Fullbore, and F-Class.
THINGS WE DO NOT DISCUSS ON THIS BOARD:
- Firing at any type of target other than paper or plastic bullseyes;
- Shooting at targets at unknown distances;
- Long range hunting;
- Sniping/tactical shooting;
- Calibers generating more recoil than .300 Winchester Magnum;
- Other long range shooting sports including Benchrest, Silhouette, and .50 BMG (.50 caliber Browning Machine Gun) shooting.
